Artera was created in July 2020, when two industry-leading organizations – PowerTeam Services, LLC and MVerge – united.

PowerTeam Services, LLC was established in 2012 and acquired by investment firm, CD&R, in 2018. Its operating companies include KS Energy Services, Southeast Connections, Volt Power and Hydro-X.
MVerge was formed in 2011 and acquired by PowerTeam Services, LLC in April 2020. Its operating companies include Miller Pipeline and Minnesota Limited.
